RTI degree verification with an official reply on record
When you need a reply that is official, dated and legally on record, an application under the Right to Information Act, 2005 is the strongest route for government universities and boards.

When RTI is the right route
- The university is a public authority: a central or state university, a government board, or a body funded or controlled by the government
- The university has not answered ordinary verification requests
- You need a reply that can be produced before an employer, a court, the police or a regulator
- You suspect a certificate is fake and want the university’s position in writing
What we do
- Identify the correct Public Information Officer (PIO) for the university or board
- Draft precise questions so the reply is clear and usable
- File the application and pay the statutory fee
- Track the 30-day reply period and file a first appeal if the reply is missing or incomplete
- Attach the official reply to your FACTS report with our result
Why our RTI replies are usable
A vague question gets a vague answer. Our founder has worked on education-fraud cases for years and our questions are written so the university has to state clearly whether the certificate was issued, to whom and when.
How it works
- Check eligibilityWe confirm the university or board is a public authority under RTI.
- Draft and fileWe draft the questions, file the application and pay the fee.
- Track and appealWe track the reply period and file a first appeal if needed.
- ReportThe official reply is attached to your report with our result.
Questions about rti verification
How long does an RTI reply take?
The law gives the public authority 30 days to reply. If there is no reply or it is incomplete, a first appeal can be filed. We track these dates for you.
Can RTI be used for a private university?
Usually not directly, because most private universities are not public authorities. We use written or in-person verification instead, and sometimes an RTI to the state body that regulates the university.
Can an employer use an RTI reply?
Yes. It is an official, dated reply from the university's information officer, which is why employers, lawyers and investigators rely on it.
